VINEBUILDERS STUDIO — SERVICE AGREEMENT & SOW
(Please read carefully before continuing)
This agreement outlines the services, responsibilities, and protections for your ChurchKit website provided by Vinebuilders Studio (“Designer”) to you (“Client”).
By submitting this form and completing your first monthly payment, you agree to the following terms:
- Overview
Vinebuilders Studio (“Designer”) provides a fully managed website service using the ChurchKit system. This Agreement outlines the scope of services, support, access levels, payment terms, ownership, and cancellation policies.

Grow Plan – $199/month

- Sermon/Event graphics
- Church email setup
- Monthly email campaigns
- Event registration & forms
- Priority phone support
PWA / App Sites (Coming Soon)
- Installable app on Google/Apple Store
- Offline mode
- Service worker + manifest
- Custom dashboard
- Custom App page templates
Optional Add-ons: Logo design, livestream setup, API integrations, SEO setup, newsletter setup, Canva kits, custom forms, etc.
- Deliverables
Deliverables vary by plan but may include a custom ChurchKit website, sermon/event systems, templates, automations, PWA features, email automations, and ongoing updates.
- Client Responsibilities
Client agrees to:
- Provide text, photos, and content
- Submit updates through the Client Portal
- Approve designs in a timely manner
- Provide accurate credentials if requested
- Maintain an active monthly subscription
- Payments
- First monthly payment begins the project.
- All payments auto-renew monthly.
- Fees are non-refundable once work begins.
- Failed payments may result in suspension after 7 days.
- After 30 days unpaid: ChurchKit features may be removed.
- $149 reactivation fee (+ monthly subscription) may apply.
- Add-ons must be paid before delivery.
- Ownership & Intellectual Property
6.1 Client Owns:
- Domain name
- All text, photos, videos, and content provided
6.2 Vinebuilders Studio Owns:
(All of the following ALWAYS remain 100% the property of Vinebuilders Studio.)
- ChurchKit custom theme
- All Vinebuilders plugins (VB Announcements, VB Bulletin Endpoint, VB Sermon System, VB Event System, all automations)
- All page templates, layouts, and design components
- All PWA/service-worker code
- All custom scripts, REST endpoints, and automation workflows
- All digital ministry systems, templates, and ChurchKit portal tools
Clients DO NOT receive plugin files, theme files, source code, or automation code at any time.
6.3 No Ownership Transfer
ChurchKit theme, plugins, and systems are NOT for sale and are NOT transferred to the Client under any circumstances.
6.4 No Buyout Option
ChurchKit technology is subscription-only and cannot be purchased outright.
- Access Levels
Designer Access:
Vinebuilders Studio is the only Administrator and Editor on all ChurchKit websites.
Client Access:
Clients receive a limited WordPress role (Subscriber/Contributor).
Clients do NOT receive:
- Administrator access
- Editor access
- Plugin or theme access
- FTP or hosting access
- Code access
- Template export access
- Ability to install plugins/themes
This protects both site stability and the Designer’s intellectual property.
Unauthorized modification or attempts to gain admin access may result in immediate suspension without refund.
- Cancellation & Nonpayment
If the Client cancels (or stops paying):
The Client keeps:
- Their domain name
- Their original content
The Designer removes:
- ChurchKit theme
- All Vinebuilders plugins
- All automations
- All PWA/service-worker files
- All ChurchKit templates
- All custom layouts
- Hosting access
No refunds are provided for partial months.
- Approvals & Launch
Client approves the design before launch.
Post-launch changes count as updates under the chosen plan.
- Support
Support is included according to the plan level and covers updates, fixes, security, performance, and automation upkeep.
The Designer is not responsible for problems caused by third-party edits or modifications.
- Liability
Vinebuilders Studio is not liable for outages, third-party service failures (Brevo, Google, Zapier, hosting), SEO ranking, client-caused issues, or data loss from client edits.
- Acceptance
By submitting this form and making the first monthly payment, the Client agrees to all terms in this Agreement.
13. Domain Ownership Policy
13.1 Client-Owned Domains
Clients must purchase and maintain their own domain name directly through their chosen registrar (such as GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, or Hostinger). The Client retains full legal ownership of their domain name at all times.
13.2 DNS Management
While the Client owns the domain name, Vinebuilders Studio manages DNS settings and configuration. This ensures correct routing to the hosting environment, security, and automation systems. Clients agree not to modify DNS records without consulting Vinebuilders Studio, as changes may break website functionality.
13.3 Hosting and Website Removal Upon Cancellation
If the Client’s subscription ends or is cancelled, Vinebuilders Studio removes all hosting, website files, ChurchKit theme, custom plugins, automations, and PWA features. The Client’s domain name will remain active under their registrar, but will not display a website until the Client purchases their own hosting and connects the domain to a new environment.
13.4 No Domain Transfer Obligations
Because Clients own and renew their domain directly through their registrar, Vinebuilders Studio is not responsible for domain transfers, domain unlocking, EPP codes, or renewal payments.
13.5 Responsibility for Domain Renewals
The Client is solely responsible for renewing their domain name. Failure to renew their domain may result in loss of ownership. Vinebuilders Studio is not liable for expired or lost domains.
